My brand is Skylark Live. My passions include writing, vlogging, and interior decorating. My demographic is women over 60, and I am committed to inspiring and motivating them to thrive in mature aging through knowledge and self-awareness. Each week, I write a newsletter that features a new topic of something I’m either thinking about, experienced, or want to explore. I see the world as a beautiful canvas where we get to create a life that is fulfilling and purposeful. I have a deep reverence for life, and my faith guides me.

Each first Monday of the month, I record a vlog on my YouTube Channel that reviews the previous month’s newsletter articles and introduces a new theme for the following month. My vlogs are about 15 minutes long, and are off the cuff and unedited. I want my vlogs to feel authentic to my viewers as if they are with me in person.

I have always loved homes. My mother and I used to drive around our neighborhood and talk about how we’d decorate our favorite houses. I enjoy collecting things that I’ve sourced from antique shops, garage sales, on the side of the road, or on Facebook marketplace. I love rustic interiors that include glass, wood, wrought iron, and wicker. I also enjoy collecting shells from the beaches I visit. Rocks, too. These make beautiful accessories in any home, and I like to bring nature indoors. I think a room that is filled with things you love is the best way to express yourself. “There’s no place like home.”

My feeling is that we are born again each day. What a gift. Aging is a blessing that many do not get to experience. I don’t take that for granted. Any chance I get, I am outside. Nature is a great comfort to me, and I enjoy gardening and watching the sunset. “When you get down, look up. The sky has magic in it.”
